Mr. Seabrook opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Roll Call.

Present: Mark Seabrook, Charles Freiberger.

Absent: Steve Bush.

1.         Play >>  Glen Smith – Property & Causality Insurance Updates – Renewal Information was given to the Board members and reviewed, no major changes – up 16 additional vehicles over last year – no rate increase on the package – Worker’s Comp was reviewed also up 9% been very stable over the last five years on large deductible plan.  Saved over $250,000 being on the large deductible over the years.  Motion: , Action: Approve, Moved by Charles Freiberger, Seconded by Mark Seabrook.  Motion passed unanimously.

4.         Play >> Ruling by Federal Judge on same sex marriage – Mr. Fox read prepared statement to be made part of the record – He took a measured approach for all the people in Floyd County

11.       Play >>  Approval of Payrolls & Claims - Mr. Clark stated he reviewed and there were no unusual or extraordinary items.  Motion: Action: Approve, Moved by Charles Freiberger, Seconded by Mark Seabrook.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

 Play >> Mr. Freiberger - thanked everyone for coming, he enjoyed the Groundbreaking

 Play >> Mr. Seabrook echoed what Mr. Freiberger said, and stated they had a good turnout for the Groundbreaking

 

 Play >> Scott – Floyd County’s Health Fair will be September 11th and one of the vendors will be Walgreens who will offer free blood pressure screens and they have asked for a signature. Motion: Action: Approve, Moved by Charles Freiberger, Seconded by Mark Seabrook.  Motion passed unanimously.

 Play >> Retirement System – name Mr. Clark as the person to be that person that does the duties related to the retirement system.  Motion: Action: Approve, Moved by Charles Freiberger, Seconded by Steve Bush.

 Play >> Dale Mann – sent email in regards to tire recycling and has spoke to Mary Lou and offered his help is getting this started
