So moved second. 00:00:26
All in favor, aye? 00:00:28
Daily Maintenance reports Chris. 00:00:32
All right, make sure that we. 00:00:37
In your packet you'll see a. 00:00:40
Register of Claims for two claims this month. 00:00:42
We're looking for an approval of the two planes, once for heritage and one is for an employee mileage. 00:00:46
So moved. 00:00:52
Second, all in favor? 00:00:54
Aye. 00:00:57
The other. 00:00:58
Part of it is the daily maintenance logs, which are on the website shows the daily activity of the public works department when it 00:00:59
comes to the work that they do for the storm water department, there's a 40 different. 00:01:06
Projects that they worked on, you know, some of them maybe 3 days long, so you'll have three different sheets of the same thing, 00:01:14
but you know, they were all over the county. 00:01:18
This McCarthy Knob stolen place. 00:01:22
Bud Rd. 00:01:25
Canal Lane Cobblers crossing. 00:01:29
Quarry Rd. 00:01:32
So there's over 40 or right at 40 different. 00:01:33
Projects that they did. 00:01:36
For the county maintenance. 00:01:37
Of the drainage. 00:01:39
System in Floyd County. 00:01:41
So just so you're all's review and everything else. 00:01:42
Who looks at those when they're done? 00:01:45
That would be Sidney with the he's the supervisor out there. So he. 00:01:47
Goes back and looks at everything if he needs us, myself or her ratio of the county engineer to look at it as well. 00:01:52
Yeah, one of them. Look at Quarry Rd. 00:01:59
Say that again. 00:02:02
Have one of them look at the job they did on Quarry Rd. 00:02:03
I was there this morning. 00:02:08
Look pretty good. 00:02:10
Talking about replacing the pipe. 00:02:12
Yeah, I went through there about 2:00. 00:02:13
Looked like I needed some more. 00:02:17
Black dot. 00:02:19
They find. 00:02:21
There you go. What do I know? 00:02:24
I thought that you were indicating maybe a need just for oversight. You know, we've had new leadership over there. Just to make 00:02:27
sure I would. 00:02:30
Review. 00:02:33
Everything. 00:02:35
At least. 00:02:36
For one to two months just to make sure that. 00:02:37
It's been done in the same manner that was done before. 00:02:40
And not only that, just make sure Sydney may pick up on a. 00:02:43
A better or different way to do it, Just make sure that there's consistency between how. 00:02:47
Numbers were reported. 00:02:51
When Ronnie was there versus Sydney, at least for. 00:02:53
A couple months I think at least maybe 1020% of the claims. 00:02:56
An hour? Yep. 00:03:00
Will do. OK. Appreciate it. Thank you. 00:03:01
Old business heritage. 00:03:05
Good evening, Casey Dean with Heritage. How you guys doing? 00:03:13
Good, so you should have the summary. 00:03:16
For the road control inspections. 00:03:19
32 total sites. 00:03:21
Five of them are showing evidence of off site segmentation. 00:03:24
Three of them are showing a high probability of off site segmentation. 00:03:28
8 or dormant 16 are compliant. 00:03:31
I'll bring your attention to a couple of those on the list. 00:03:34
Last month, if you remember. 00:03:37
My notes. 00:03:41
Springs of Old Georgetown and villas of Floyd's Knobs. They had had multiple issues over the months and both of those are now 00:03:43
compliant, so that is a positive. 00:03:48
I know two out of the five that show evidence this month have already said they're going to get it fixed this week. 00:03:52
So that's positive as well. 00:03:58
And most of them honestly are just those coconut fibers on top of the catch basins. 00:04:00
That when it rains, resident will. 00:04:04
Pull them up because it ponds water. And so it's like, yeah, no, they need to stay down just because that's what's supposed to do 00:04:06
during construction, you know. So it's pretty minor. They have been protected, but they just need, you know. 00:04:11
Fixed after something like that happens. So I want to provide an update also on training. Umm. 00:04:16
As you guys know, Floyd County has two staff members who are helping. 00:04:22
Take this back over, Albert has. 00:04:28
Visited all the sites now and he has done, he did basically half of the reports for this month. We're trying to progress by. 00:04:31
Teaching training you know on inspection 1st and then reporting second you know so. 00:04:38
Albert has visited all sites, he has done half the reports and Garrett has now visited 7 out of the. 00:04:42
Active sites and the goal is to have them running the entire. 00:04:48
Thing by November. 00:04:51
Inspections so. 00:04:53
Good. Any questions? 00:04:54
No, Sir, All right. 00:04:56
Thank you. 00:04:58
Rachel. 00:05:02
Pebble Creek. 00:05:04
Yeah, right now we have, I think we have 3. 00:05:05
Proposals. 00:05:14
So we. 00:05:16
Does anybody in the audience have a bid they want to? 00:05:17
Proposed before we accept. 00:05:21
Or we open. 00:05:24
Seeing none. 00:05:27
We will go ahead and open. 00:05:29
All right, first is from temple and temple excavating and paving. 00:05:31
14,002 to 5. 00:05:51
OK. 00:05:56
You are correct, yeah. 00:05:58
All right. Next is C&R construction. 00:06:03
New one is C&R is 13,700. 00:06:22
And last is Mac construction. 00:06:30
By the way, these are the easiest. 00:06:37
Totals to. 00:06:39
Find in the history of bids. So congratulations. 00:06:40
Mac Construction $17,264.88. 00:06:45
Look for a motion to take these bids under advisement. 00:06:52
So moved, I'll say. 00:06:56
Jason. 00:06:58
Aye, aye, aye. 00:07:00
Thank you, Mauricio. Thank you, Sir. 00:07:07
Uh, new business. 00:07:11
Stormwater Manual. 00:07:14
Good afternoon. My name is Kaden Cunningham with OHM Advisors we've been working on. 00:07:20
The updated stormwater technical standards for Floyd County that goes with the ordinance that was passed. 00:07:25
Last year. 00:07:30
Today, just providing a short update, there is in your packet. 00:07:31
A piece of the draft for chapter 10 of this manual, which is. 00:07:36
The most pertinent to stormwater facilities design. 00:07:40
We actually just had a working group meeting today. 00:07:44
With members of our team Heritage Engineering. 00:07:46
And Paul November and associates. 00:07:49
To get their feedback as well. 00:07:52
So our goal is to. 00:07:54
Incorporate those comments made today in our working group session into a final draft to bring forward to you all before the next 00:07:56
or at the next board meeting in October. 00:08:00
So we just want to provide an update. 00:08:04
To you all today about that progress. 00:08:06
Good deal, I'm glad you're asking. 00:08:09
The others for their input. 00:08:11
I don't have anything. Thank you. 00:08:15
No, just. 00:08:17
Any highlights on any? 00:08:20
Department Updates. 00:08:23
Top three list. 00:08:27
We're trying to match. 00:08:31
More of the other communities. 00:08:33
When it comes to. 00:08:35
Getting rid of a. 00:08:36
Tough analysis. 00:08:37
A lot of the health analysis requires smaller orifices, so we're trying to get it to where 6 inch orifice would be the smallest 00:08:40
orifice. 00:08:43
We would allow storm water run off the. 00:08:48
2 inch and. 00:08:52
2 1/2 inches. Almost need a plumber to clean those out and everything. 00:08:53
So that's a big highlight. 00:08:57
Our investments, making sure they're all. 00:09:01
Make sure a easement is not. 00:09:07
This fall sees that is 15. 00:09:09
See. That is to be able to get equipment in. 00:09:12
Ceasement areas and everything else you go any smaller, it's hard to maneuver equipment especially. 00:09:14
Probably the reduction in. 00:09:28
Storm water between storms so. 00:09:30
Currently, Floyd County uses. 00:09:33
100 year post equals a 10 year pre. 00:09:35
And we're looking at those numbers to more closely match Jeffersonville's numbers. 00:09:37
And the amount of reduction that? 00:09:41
A developer would need to do. 00:09:44
For their detention basins. 00:09:45
OK, so what's the advantage of Jeffersonville numbers? 00:09:47
Is it? 00:09:50
Well, one the developers are saying they're having a hard time meeting them. 00:09:54
But we're still going to require them to withhold more water. 00:09:58
So there would be like a 2% or 5% or 10%. 00:10:04
Percent reduction. 00:10:08
On a 2 year storm, five years more. 00:10:09
Remind when does Noah come out with their new? 00:10:12
Guidelines for what a 100 year storm is, is it? 00:10:15
Decade knows at the end of this decade that they do there is a mid decade. 00:10:19
And this is the thing with the design manual is. 00:10:24
As soon as those come out, we can change our design manual without having to change the ordinance already. 00:10:28
Anything just like that? 00:10:32
What's the new brakes come out? We can. 00:10:34
So we want to go to the new standard and it's just. 00:10:36
Board level versus. 00:10:40
Yeah. I mean, we've had those discussions publicly. I don't. 00:10:43
I don't think the current ones are very accurate. 00:10:46
Yeah. And I think. 00:10:49
100 years storms or every five years anymore 10 years. Maybe it's an aberration and statistics, but. 00:10:50
Not every month, isn't it right? 00:10:57
Yes, well, I think when you take into consideration. 00:10:59
You know the topography that we have. 00:11:02
And everything, there's gonna be some. 00:11:04
Some vast differences, you know, but. 00:11:06
You know. 00:11:08
I think there's going to be differences between our two communities as far as what the needs are, but. 00:11:09
Topography. 00:11:14
Being a big proponent of that. 00:11:15
OK. Thank you. 00:11:20
Chris. 00:11:23
Well, just wanted to go with our promotion that we're having this month. 00:11:29
This month. 00:11:32
Uh, September, April begin stormwater Awareness Week. I believe we've done this since 2012. 00:11:33
Where we dedicate a week here in Floyd County to stormwater awareness. In your packet you'll see a list of different activities 00:11:40
that we have for each day of the week. 00:11:44
It culminates with the Ohio River Suite, which I've mentioned at the last meeting on September 13th. So if you're not doing 00:11:49
anything, please come down to the amphitheater and. 00:11:54
Help us clean up the Ohio River, along the banks and everything else. We have all the supplies you will need. Only thing we need 00:11:59
is your able body so if you. 00:12:03
Don't have anything else going on on Saturday. The. 00:12:07
13th it's from 9:00 till noon. 00:12:09
But on other days we'll have signs out in the local parks. 00:12:12
Got confirmation from Matt Dennison that we can put our signs in the parks again this year. That just tells people that be aware 00:12:16
of storm water and contaminants is that they can get in it. So if you see those signs, you just know that it's part of Storm Water 00:12:22
Awareness Week. 00:12:27
We also will be mapping culverts and catch basins. 00:12:32
We've also be canvassing some neighborhoods with literature. We're working on a brochure now to hand out to the newer subdivisions 00:12:36
about the coconut fibers, which Casey mentioned. 00:12:42
Problem where people just kind of lift them up because they don't maybe know what they're used for. So we're going to educate the 00:12:48
public and the. 00:12:52
Newer subdivisions about what the coconut fiber. 00:12:56
Mattings are for. 00:13:00
And then we also are going to have a dollar off a car wash at Jacobi's gas stations. 00:13:01
And we're going to highlight the prescription drop off points in Floyd County by having some signs up and everything else and do 00:13:06
some social media. 00:13:10
Canvassing when it comes to getting down the message about. 00:13:14
Recycling your prescription pills correctly versus just dumping them down the drain. 00:13:17
So have you thought about? 00:13:23
Putting a little. 00:13:25
Flag signs up next to those drains so people know not to move them. 00:13:26
So. 00:13:32
Little informational, you know that big coconut but you could print on them. 00:13:33
Do not remove, it'll be full of junk. 00:13:38
Well, normally when a catch basin is put in, it says drains to. 00:13:41
The drains to river or lake and everything else. So we do have these things that we put in on them and the developer should be 00:13:45
putting them in too. We don't have any like little flags or anything for the. 00:13:50
Coconut fibers while they're actually there, but. 00:13:56
That's something to think about. 00:13:58
I mean, we can just look to see how much it would cost to. 00:14:01
Purchase those to put those in there. 00:14:04
Shouldn't be very much. 00:14:06
Yeah, just a thought. 00:14:08
Yeah, yeah, I like it. 00:14:09
So appreciate it if you're not doing anything. 00:14:11
September 13th. Come on down. 00:14:14
I give away free T-shirts or anything, yeah. 00:14:16
Absolutely free T-shirt. You nailed it So. 00:14:18
That means Frank's there only smalls. 00:14:21
It's media. 00:14:25
I guess I'm getting old. Seems like stormwater Awareness Week. 00:14:26
Creeps up on me faster and faster each year. 00:14:29
Do we have any public comment? 00:14:32
Of course sweetie, come on up and next man. 00:14:35
Like Christmas? 00:14:40
Afternoon, Dale and Georgetown. 00:14:43
Just got a question, he says. 00:14:45
You're meeting in New Albany. Floyd County Stormwater is meeting to New Albany. 00:14:47
Location at. 00:14:51
It's New Albany. They've got their own storm water system. 00:14:53
I just thought about that when he said that. Are they involved in at the top, Sir Eric? 00:14:57
It's at the new Album Amphitheater. That's the best location we have to. 00:15:04
Gain access to the. 00:15:09
Riverbanks. 00:15:11
Along the Ohio River, so that's where we. 00:15:12
This is actually part of the. 00:15:15
Swag, which is all of the stormwater communities, which includes involving so they're graciously hosting. 00:15:17
And that's what we're telling people. 00:15:24
We don't have any place down further than we all need to go access to. 00:15:31
So New Albany. 00:15:36
Do I have a stormwater board? 00:15:39
I don't know about their saltwater war. 00:15:41
Talk to someone within. 00:15:43
Their department of. 00:15:45
Our guy is with our Senko. 00:15:46
Is Travis Kedling. 00:15:48
Duality offers a dumpster. 00:15:54
Opens up their restaurant facilities and. 00:15:56
Thank you. 00:16:08
Never saying when when Heritage leaves inspection. 00:16:09
So that means we save $9000 a month. 00:16:13
Is that not correct? 00:16:16
Thank you. 00:16:31
We'll figure it in. 00:16:31
Anyone else? 00:16:38
Motion to adjourn, so moved. 00:16:41

So we're going to educate the 00:12:48
public and the. 00:12:52
Newer subdivisions about what the coconut fiber.
