Three-year population growth appeal in a 10 year. 00:04:56
Georgetown Fire has never asked for an increase to our levy. 00:04:59
But in order to stay. 00:05:04
Viable with the amount of service that were. 00:05:10
Providing the community. 00:05:14
We are now asking for. 00:05:16
The 10 year population growth. 00:05:18
And what that does is it's a simple math. 00:05:21
The population is compared for 10 years ago. 00:05:25
And then you get a percentage increase and the document shows that there was a 13.37% increase. 00:05:28
The state then says you have to deduct 6% from that. 00:05:35
So you end up at 7.37. 00:05:39
It cannot be more than 15%. So we're we're in that area or between 6:00 and. 00:05:43

There's probably some frustration on our board with. 00:07:32
What happened with Franklin Township that we agreed to contract and provide Fire Protection service in 2024 with them, but it was 00:07:37

And the creation of the fire territory, and they decided to step back from that right now. 00:07:46
And they are asking us again if we would be willing to submit a bid. 00:07:51
I'll offer my thoughts. I think we should. 00:07:57
I think that we should do it for $10,000, which was more than we did last year by a little bit. 00:08:00
