2nd. 00:02:04
Got that motion by Councilman Striegel and the second by Commissioner Abel. Any further discussion? 00:02:05
All to have your signal by saying aye aye. Any opposed? 00:02:13
Occurs. 00:02:17
And we have an amendment for the resolution permitting provisional payment of claims. 00:02:20
I get that that's where we have to formally have approval of the vendor in advance in order for them to be included in the 00:02:30
provisional approvals off button so moved. 00:02:37
A motion by Mr. Penabel. I got a second. 00:02:46
Do we have a, is that, is that just an amendment of of a resolution that's already been passed? That's correct. OK. 00:02:49
Gotcha. 00:02:57
A second. 00:03:00
All right, most likely. 00:03:03
Second by Councilman St. All right, any further discussion? 00:03:07
All right, all in favor, signify by saying aye, aye. 00:03:11
Any opposed appears. 00:03:15
Director's report. 00:03:17
Good to be with you again. That will start out with the quick notation of our recycled fc.com metrics. 00:03:20
In June that we had 747 total users, of which 700 and. 00:03:28
27 of those were new, as you can see comparables right next door to them. But the number of users of the website continue to be 00:03:37
continued to be very strong. So very pleased with that. And even anecdotally, the number of people who call the office with 00:03:45
questions having been on the website is pretty encouraging. So I'm very happy with the success of the website if we count on that 00:03:54
a great deal, especially as we roll out our new venture into neighborhoods. 00:04:02
The education initiative is on hold for the summer as you know, and the water wiggle is teed up well to get off to a fast start 00:04:11
this fall when school resumes. Under operations and initiatives are traffic for June 4, 4700 and 46 vehicles and total volume 00:04:19
121,000. 00:04:27
Nearly one 22,000 lbs which is a pretty solid. 00:04:36
But I'll always, you know, we're aiming to go higher than that. I make a quick mention of the item site inspection on June 25th. 00:04:42
We do that obviously cooperative item. Chris Moore is the coordinator of that visit and. 00:04:51
For transparency purposes, I've listed the bullets which they noted things that they would like to see addressed, including things 00:05:01
outside of our responsibility relative to the old county home. 00:05:07
As we reference drains in the slope, driveway and stairwells, but the other things are easily addressed and more in the process of 00:05:16
taking care of those notations. 00:05:21
Mentioned very briefly that we had a security breach on July 1. And what that basically means is that we have an employee who 00:05:27
pulls in at 4:30 in the morning and who caught two individuals running across the parking lot and then who proceeded to jump the 00:05:33
fence to exit the compound. 00:05:39
That's concerning, obviously, because. 00:05:46
We don't want to entertain any break insurance. If we do have cash, we do make daily deposits down here from any cash that might 00:05:50
have been received from electronics recycling, but it's just not a good situation to have. We don't have the money to invest in 00:05:57
cameras or anything like that at this point in time. But just a reminder that the public safety not only entertains the 00:06:05
neighborhoods but also recycling facilities. 00:06:12
Reminder that in August, once again, the Purdue Clean Sweep Pesticides program is in effect. It will go to Davies County with our 00:06:22
pesticides. Again, the advantage of that is that it saves us money in disposing of those because Purdue does it for free. 00:06:31
Good segue to the household hazardous waste update. As we've discussed handful of Times Now, we did communicate on June 25th 00:06:41
within Tech in Evansville relative to the issues around the February, March and April matters of unknown substances that 00:06:49
ultimately they billed us $10,000 to. 00:06:56
Take care of. 00:07:04
My letter on the 25th essentially raised some what we believe were serious shortcomings in their service with an offer to split 00:07:07
the difference with them relative to the $10,000 bill. They responded to that within minutes on the 25th and said they would get 00:07:14
back to us and they have yet to get back to us. So that remains pending a word about the IBM Recycling Market Development Program 00:07:21
grant. 00:07:29
That started in earnest in earnest today. 00:07:37
John, it does just seems like yesterday that we went to Indianapolis for the announcement of the grant and. 00:07:42
What I thought was going to be just a routine appointment turned out to be I had to do a extemporaneous presentation of our grant 00:07:49
application. But all turned out got the heck out of there as quickly as we could after they gave us the cat. But today we started 00:07:57
9:00 AM twelve. Dave Watson was out there along with Laura Riggle and. 00:08:06
First neighborhood was Cobblers Crossing. 00:08:15
And while we had a minor turn out. 00:08:18
Of the 10 folks, we still haven't privately gotten into the heart assistant generated by an e-mail from the homeowners 00:08:20
association, but we're absolutely excited about the potential. Laura and I met last night with the Wolf Lake Homeowners 00:08:29
Association. They begin next week, will be at Glenwood Farms on Thursday afternoon, one to four, and we're rolling. 00:08:38
The thing I want to particularly point out though, as we went from the original idea that we would have 13 neighborhoods 00:08:48
identified and now we're five or six. If you throw in color plates with cobbles crossing the four hubs again, which will be 00:08:56
Hammersmith Park, Gary Cavan Park on Horton Ridge, Floyd Knox Community Club, and then Loftus Farms just up the road from gas and 00:09:03
stuff, we think that we're touching about 38 neighborhoods. 00:09:11
Through the hub strategy and we will watch that next week so. 00:09:19
Again, a reminder, this is a test that will last a year. It will require from time to time a an update and I'll start drafting the 00:09:25
initial one that explains what minor modifications we've made as we've gotten out of the gate and our expectations. But a very 00:09:32
positive that it will help in the end get us another step of truth towards that goal of 50% recycling of household waste by the 00:09:40
year 2030. 00:09:47
In the case of the community recycling grant program that ultimately is the one that allowed us to buy the Baylor as well as funds 00:09:57
and educational materials for Lauras outreach to schools. I'm happy to report simply that we are slowly getting into the bailing 00:10:04
business. Happy to report that our partners of W Rock who came and visit last week offered us a discount on what they would charge 00:10:12
to pick up the bails. 00:10:19
In addition to our cost, higher price than expected in value for the bales. So we're talking instead of $95, maybe $125.00, 00:10:27
something in that range for the bales. And in an effort to reduce the number of trips that we have to take the Fern Valley Rd. the 00:10:35
idea would be they would come once we got 17 or so fails, they would come pick it up. The original offer was for 140 and they'll 00:10:44
do that for $125.00. 00:10:52
And so that will help us be much more efficient on our end. And I'm very pleased with how that has worked out, I would only say. 00:11:00
As I look at the. 00:11:12
The Baylor grant itself is for 23,000. 00:11:14
We spent 24,000 for the Baylor. It's a 7525 grant match, so item matched 75% of the $23,000. And what I'm happy to report is that 00:11:19
filed the reimbursement on May 31st and the ACH came in on June 20th. That's a pretty good turn around for state government and 00:11:28
we're happy to have the cash flow. 00:11:37
On that can I've mentioned our friends at West Rock who've emerged with the old Jefferson Smoffett and they again are going to 00:11:47
encourage us and support us all we can in the increased use of our Baylor. They gave us some other advice as well and are 00:11:56
considering whether we are considering whether or not to take them up on their offer to take our electronics waste. Typically we 00:12:04
have called a firm in Indianapolis. 00:12:13
Whenever we've had the old TV's, the old big consoles. 00:12:23
And that's been an expensive proposition, you know, maybe 1200 bucks a pop. You'll recall that through Dave's initiative, we've 00:12:27
been taking our flat screens and computers down to River Metals at the North Y And instead of paying for that, not only have we 00:12:34
eliminate transportation costs virtually, but we make a couple 100 bucks at a time for that delivery. So that continues to work 00:12:42
well from the electronics recycling perspective. 00:12:50
On the budget and financial front, we are. 00:12:58
I have in your packet the proposed budget for 2025. It's at $515,000 and change It is less than what I had originally cited back 00:13:03
in June and certainly less than what we're operating on this year. 00:13:12
That being a spot during the $29,000 budget. 00:13:23
I understand the the need to be as judicious as we can and I appreciate the the support of the commissioners and securing a 00:13:28
commitment of $400,000 from edit for that. But also understand the need to use the coming days over the next few weeks and and 00:13:38
certainly into August to evaluate. Are there any other channels by which we can be even more efficient or. 00:13:48
Find other creative ways to still meet that the expectations of our recycling public. So what I would ask for the board to do 00:13:58
today is provisionally approve the 515,000 with the caveat that I will work with a the leadership of the board meeting Brad and 00:14:08
Jason to work closely on identifying alternatives or other ideas that might help lessen the impact on the county's budget. 00:14:18
We had a good question. You've got 2% colos of what you're all looking at doing. 00:14:35
I'm sorry. 00:14:48
I asked him about the coalesced 2%. That's what the County Council has agreed upon. I just want to make sure that was correct. 00:14:49
Yes, I'm sorry. 00:14:53
I'm personally OK with the budget myself. 00:15:02
With the amounts and I know we've had discussions back and forth with Don and commissioners and all that. 00:15:05
I think that's, I think the budget itself is fine from the standpoint. This is how I would recommend you think about it. It allows 00:15:12
us to. 00:15:17
Deliver the services in the way that we're delivering them today. 00:15:23
If we go lower than that, then you're looking at, you know, drastic changes that would be noticeable to the public and I think we 00:15:27
need to run the traps that we discussed individually. Some of you relative to are there other alternatives that could certainly 00:15:34
that would be a key focus over the next few weeks to see what that potential is. OK. 00:15:41
I'll make a motion that we approve the budget as submitted for 2025. 00:15:50
All right, I have a motion by Commissioner Saunders, who approve the 2025 budget as submitted Second. 00:15:58
A question before anything. I didn't. 00:16:06
I didn't catch all the numbers. It's less than last year, but last by like 1 1/2, two percent or something, or I guess there's 1 00:16:09
1/2 I'm probably looking for it might be closer to two now. 520-9515, Were those intentional cuts that were made or just services 00:16:16
that won't be provided next year or how are you able to just tighten up? 00:16:22
Right now I can breeze and touch on the financial performance a year to date were maybe. 00:16:31
111% over if I'm not mistaken. Let me look at my notes here. 00:16:40
On. 00:16:45
We're overall 99% of target. So we're. 00:16:52
Percent under target budget through June. What we've taken a look at is that the line item for transporters for 10% over where we 00:16:57
should be on that. Recycling services, we're just 5% over target and then fuel worth 20% over target, so. 00:17:07
Way we try to manage is if you identify. 00:17:19
Again, we have under spending online items of course, but you know, we try to pick out the top three that that we can turn back. 00:17:24
So what does that do? And and again, my apologies for the snafu with the monorail shine and the late sharing of the packet, you 00:17:33
know, coming after midnight last night. But I will tell you that, you know, getting those numbers, I want to be clear in my mind. 00:17:42
Where we were relative to year to date activity and then the impact that has on looking ahead for 2025. So I, I think it's always 00:17:51
positive that if you know, we would like to trim more and, and what I look at is like recycling services, which are is our major 00:18:00
line where we throw everything that isn't fuel, isn't FICA, isn't payroll, et cetera. So I've tried to trim that back from the 70 00:18:09
to the high 60s and just here. 00:18:18
Trying to tweak down, I had $15,000 in advertising. I'm not five out of that, not that to 10 as an example. So that's where I'm 00:18:27
able to get to the 515 level. So you know, I've had several discussions with you where I think you've done a phenomenal job where 00:18:35
you brought this and I've obviously raised my concerns about. 00:18:43
What our money's coming in next year. 00:18:52
Really look like and I would just personally I would just like to have a little bit. 00:18:55
More data as far as the numbers before, you know, I was to vote in favor of approval, but it's not saying that I wouldn't. I'm 00:19:02
just saying that, you know, I just think that. 00:19:07
It's worth its. 00:19:14
It's worth taking maybe a little bit of time to make sure that the money is going to be there because the last thing I want to do 00:19:16
is make some sort of promise to you guys that. 00:19:19
It's just not going to be there. I'd rather either table it or. 00:19:23
Be there from the Commissioners perspective. 00:19:28
Yes. 00:19:32
Then we've got priorities that. 00:19:38
You know, I thought we've already kind of hashed this out as far as. 00:19:40
What what commissioners are going to? 00:19:44
You know, project for, for solid waste and for and for other, other departments. You know, in fact they've already. 00:19:49
Submitted the budgets to the County Council. Have we done? 00:19:57
Breath. Believe we. Yeah, I believe. 00:20:00
Everything like back in June. 00:20:04
At least the first round of budgets have been submitted. 00:20:07
Yeah, I wish Don was here. I mean, how much did it cut? Did he say that we're going to be receiving out of? 00:20:13
Edit 400. 00:20:18
That was the last confirmation. 00:20:21
That's not where it started, but that's where it ended. That's where they ended, yeah. 00:20:24
Reminders where it started. 00:20:28
250. 00:20:30
So we have a motion on the floor, I believe, right? I'll second it. 00:20:35
OK, got a motion by John and 2nd by Brad. Any more discussion? 00:20:38
Brad, any input that should be comfortable making on behalf of the Council with regards to. 00:20:47
As regards to budgetary input for. 00:20:55
Of. 00:21:02
But it comes out of edit. So really it doesn't come out of a lot of any of any other funds that we would necessarily control. And 00:21:03
I think it's always in your own capital plan. 00:21:09
Is that part of the plan? 00:21:15
The edit plan was just a key. 00:21:18
OK. So as far as that's concerned, we don't really have any plans for edit, if that's what you're asking for? 00:21:19
We were happily don't have anything to add we we've really just asked office orders and department heads to. 00:21:28
Keep their budgets flat with a 2% increase for COLA and that's where we're going to start and where we're going to end up, I'm not 00:21:35
really sure, but that's where we're starting. 00:21:39
Have no, I want to commend that you for honoring that request of other departments then to uniform and honoring that. For the most 00:21:45
part, there's a there's a few that that have not done it, but I don't think it's out of defiance. I think it's out of you know, 00:21:50
like they have contractual obligations that they're automatically going to go up because they are part of a bargaining or 00:21:55
something like that. So their budgets are going to be higher than what we asked them to be, but that's understandable. That's 00:22:00
going to be an exception. So. 00:22:06
For the most part, they're cooperative. 00:22:11
I understand your concerns, but I don't know cabling is going to ultimately have any impact on how this comes out of the other end 00:22:15
of the sausage rider. Well, the only reason I say that is I mean, it just seems like the missioners have to take on a little extra 00:22:21
with some of the funding like cyber security like the last time and some other issues that, you know, the council often not to 00:22:28
fund. And I just, I worry about the lack of funding being there for this. 00:22:34
Well, there's a motion a second on the table. 00:22:42
Discussing them and are you looking for more guidance from? 00:22:45
Done. With regards to money's available, yes. 00:22:48
My read was that that was settled as far as the edit commitment. 00:22:53
And I'm grateful for that. Again, it's edit, it's gadget of about 16,000. It's the earned revenue from the corrugated, from the 00:22:58
metals, etcetera that will take us to the rest of the way. 00:23:06
Just in in a practical sense, given the fact that we generally don't meet in August and we'll get into September, I mean by Labor 00:23:15
Day, I very much if not well before that. I want to make good of the discussion that I've had with a couple of you personally. 00:23:23
To, you know, look at alternatives just and again, I don't look at this. 00:23:32
Out of any. 00:23:40
Motivation, with the exception of my business career, from time to time you take a step back and you say what am I doing today and 00:23:41
how can I do it better? And I know you expect that in a normal course of business, but here for the first time, we're really 00:23:47
having the cabinet conversation. 00:23:53
In two years, that 2 1/2 years that I've been here, that this is a good time to do that. But yeah. 00:23:59
I don't want to be in a position that, you know, we're hanging out there and certainly the I would not treat the approval of the 00:24:09
budget as submitted today as any less incentive to move vigorously down this evaluation as as I've discussed and put in writing, 00:24:16
we're we're doing that. 00:24:23
And then it should be done, it must be done, and even if there is no problem, if you will, for the Council or from operations, 00:24:31
it's still the right discussion to have and the right time to have. 00:24:37
So before we go to, you know, based upon some other discussions I've had and knowing the flux that the. 00:24:45
What Mayor, we have it going forward here. I'm wearing my stormwater guy hat here rather than if you're sad, I'm OK looking 00:24:51
forward knowing that if the reality faces us down the road during the process, we might have to adjust back from that. We 00:24:58
certainly did in 2024 with a 579 that went to 529 and. 00:25:04
And I appreciate the reason for that. And everybody acted as a reasonable leader on that front. So understood and and all three 00:25:11
one. 00:25:15
All right, any further discussion? 00:25:22
All favor signify by saying aye aye. 00:25:25
Any opposed? 00:25:32
Eric's. 00:25:35
Thank you. So on the staffing front, one, we have again the transporter who will be leaving at the end of next week that Jessica 00:25:37
Pearl. 00:25:43
We're going to hold just a little bit on filling her position, not because it doesn't need to be filled, but when you look at the 00:25:49
type of person that we need, we need to have, you know the oversell, the value of the Baylor. But it really does increase our 00:25:55
ability to be more independent in our revenue. And so we got to make sure that we have that staffed in an appropriate way. You 00:26:02
can't count on people. 00:26:08
No offense today, no offense to myself, no offense to people like me who maybe are not in the physical position to feed the Baylor 00:26:16
in order to make that the profit generator that we're looking for, but we'll make sure we can get the right person to do that. So 00:26:24
that that is a key priority over the next few weeks. And then as I've discussed with all of you and a few moments ago with my my 00:26:31
colleagues Dave and Laura. 00:26:39
I will be leaving. 00:26:48
No later than September 27th. 00:26:51
For given the need to focus on health and family. 00:26:53
It's a difficult decision on one part. On the other hand, you get to that point in your life, especially when you face this 00:27:00
signature birthday as I have coming up on September 28th that. 00:27:07
Makes you take a step back and evaluate priorities and Jason has suffered a loss in his family of a classmate of mine. 00:27:15
As well that you know, the future is never guaranteed. So you know you you focus on what's important and what I would recommend in 00:27:23
the meantime. And again I've encouraged Dave and Laura, then I'll brief the rest of our our team tomorrow morning. Is that 00:27:32
acknowledge it. But then let's continue to work hard. You know, we've had AI think a historically significant time for Floyd 00:27:40
County solid waste, especially going into these neighborhoods. 00:27:48
Now, we may or may not get to 50% recycling of household waste by 20-30, but we're certainly going to make the effort and we're 00:27:56
certainly going to be recognized for making the effort. And we're certainly going to do all we can to communicate that. For a 00:28:04
county that is a progressive county, an urban county that that is struggling to maintain its rural charm, recycling place a role 00:28:12
in that. I'm not trying to oversell the. 00:28:20
The value of recycling and all that, but it does fit and our citizens, both the current ones and ones who are moving in, having 00:28:28
expectation that, you know, Floyd County is that type of place that is a great place to live for the purposes and values that that 00:28:34
it has so. 00:28:40
We need to make sure that we continue to take the right steps to support that goal and be smart about how we do that relative to 00:28:47
the financial discussions. But I'm excited about all of that as we move into this next chapter. In the meantime, I would again 00:28:55
recommend up to the board to form a committee and it can be president and vice president or it can be whoever wants to volunteer 00:29:03
to to really roll up our sleeves and take a close look operationally. 00:29:12
As well as what is the best structure for leadership? 00:29:21
This can't be or. It doesn't have to be the same. Oh well, you have a vacancy. Let's fill it like we filled it the last time. 00:29:25
I think it's worth the conversation and say I. 00:29:34
Does it have to be that way or is there another approach I don't know, but willing to have the conversation in a trusting, 00:29:37
collaborative way with the board? 00:29:41
As you wish. 00:29:46
What do you say to that? 00:29:59
I just want to tell you, Scott, that, you know, since I've been here as commissioner, I, I've really enjoyed working with you, you 00:30:05
know, this capacity. I think that. 00:30:09
You know, you've done a phenomenal job. You know, I do appreciate the communication and helping me and not only with our role as 00:30:14
commissioner, but also stepping into this role as the, as the president. So I appreciate everything that you've done. And I tell 00:30:20
you there will be some hard boots to fill right there because I, I know your passion for this, this job. So. 00:30:27
Thank you for that. 00:30:34
It did come out of the blue and it is something that started in, you know. 00:30:36
Again, the early 90s on PNG's environmental management, first environmental management team. Be that as it may, these are tough 00:30:40
times to be in public service and each and every one of you have bit off more than you can choose and it doesn't mean that you're 00:30:47
not good at what you do, but but these times are tough and they're getting tougher. 00:30:55
And I appreciate your commitment to public service and sacrificing personally making your families make for you to do what you do. 00:31:03
I'll say that. 00:31:12
As far as you know, the the years that I've been on this board off and on collectively. 00:31:14
I think that Floyd County recycling is is is is in the best place. I think that it's been that I've seen and that's in large part 00:31:21
to do with your leadership and I appreciate that and the team that that is dedicated to to helping with that success. Wish you all 00:31:29
the best. I with with the next chapter. And again, it's been a pleasure. I've learned a lot from you and your passion for this, 00:31:36
and I think you've are going to leave it in a great spot. 00:31:44
To just to be, to be built upon, you know, in the future as far as you know, your succession planning. I I would. 00:31:52
Maybe under need to understand a little bit about what our next steps is as far as you know. Is there going to be a committee 00:32:03
forum to work with you to see how we're going to handle it? 00:32:08
It, you know, does it, does there need to be a structure change? Are we just gonna like what we have and we're gonna, you know, 00:32:13
get a new director? I think maybe, I don't know if we need to land that plane now, but maybe we need to have discussion on how 00:32:20
we're gonna handle that because we've got 60 or so days here to figure that out. I think if I did my math right. 00:32:27
Not to put you on a spot, Scott, but do you have someone in your team? 00:32:35
That would step in during the interim. 00:32:40
That you feel would. 00:32:44
Or have you given me a thought or a person? We have talented people and, and I think part of the motivation and I'm grateful to 00:32:46
the medical advice that I have that, you know, I can be more generous in in the Novus that I provide the board. And so I think you 00:32:55
always take the opportunity to take a step back and be creative and, and. 00:33:03
Over beer and pizza, come up with the what ifs. And maybe it is as Brad said. 00:33:13
Let's continue down the course with the same structure but. 00:33:20
Maybe it isn't. 00:33:23
I mean, I think, you know, you just don't want to miss the opportunity to say. 00:33:25
That we can do things the same or do things differently, but getting justified by the calling and and doing it right and making 00:33:32
sure that people recognize this operation for the unique contributor to the community that it is. I mean, again, all of you 00:33:40
struggle with, you know, be a county departments and obviously Adam understands the city departments and it's not easy, but I 00:33:47
think. 00:33:55
Maybe when it comes down to. 00:34:04
Place you like working? Are people like working where they work? 00:34:06
Hope you agree and and we have momentum. We have been as free to court. That I think is unique. 00:34:11
That most departments don't have. So you look at those measures and and you say, how can you build on that success to the point 00:34:19
that, you know, we are as good as we can be as we move forward and generally the public recognizes that. 00:34:28
I'm just finding out about this today. I mean, I've got over the time think about. 00:34:40
It was before we go to the committee and then we have to do that soon, probably by the end of July, but. 00:34:45
Again, to reimagine whether we're going to use the same structure to be very difficult. 00:34:52
Find someone with your portfolio experience and attract them at the same price point. That's one of my chief concerns. 00:34:57
I realize you're turning 50 and you feel like you have to change things up, right. Is that, is that your similar birthday coming 00:35:06
up? We've had similar discussions about wanting to clean the deck. Yeah. Of responsibility. It's going to be very difficult. 00:35:13
But maybe it's going to be run by committee. Maybe. 00:35:21
I would say that the board president could, you know, take on those responsibilities. Appreciate that. 00:35:25
I think it's worth, you know, definitely taking some time checking with HR, looking at job description, seeing if there's any. 00:35:33
Changes that need to kind of be made there before we move forward would probably be worthwhile. Obviously, you know, council would 00:35:42
probably need it. 00:35:45
Walk us through most of that. 00:35:49
Actually, just to remember that that's right, that, that that'd be very helpful. But you know, Tony Taran, one of my predecessors. 00:35:52
And so again, a good opportunity. And I'm not saying that this is not a, we're not looking for a, a leader to lead Procter Gamble 00:35:59
or we're not looking for a new speaker of the House. And we're, we're just looking for somebody who cares deeply about the 00:36:07
community and, and has some basic management skills that that can fit and. 00:36:14
And who knows, I mean, at the end of the day, we have to be effective in standing up for what the environment, sustainability and 00:36:22
recycling is all about. And you know, we have to be good stewards of the public funds that we draw on. And you know, we don't 00:36:31
again, as I have said in the past, Harrison County gets about $21.00 per citizen to run recycling Clark County. I think 11:00 to 00:36:40
12:00 then we're in the four range. And so I think we do a a good job with the the resources given. 00:36:49
That doesn't mean that we don't try to tighten it down. And if we end up tightening it down in a way that has consequences, then 00:36:58
we all recognize what those are. I mean, this is an adult business conversation. 00:37:04
But I would look forward to having that discussion over the next, you know, two to four weeks. 00:37:12
Well, I know just. 00:37:19
When we were in Covad, we closed down for. 00:37:21
What, 5-6 months, Dave, I think it was. 00:37:25
And when we first opened up out there, Grandma Rd. I mean, I was amazed at the passion the people I have employed county for 00:37:28
recycling and that's pretty evident where they go up to, you know, Greenville or Galena, you know, I mean, they're lined up and, 00:37:34
and you know, that the people, the people that recycle have a passion very similar to people who have pets, you know. And so I 00:37:40
want to continue with that. Yeah. I think what you've done in your, you know, during your, your tenure here, it kind of brought us 00:37:46
up to the next level and. 00:37:52
So we want to continue that, but appreciate all your all your time and the dedication has got. 00:38:00
Dave, it's people like Dave. 00:38:08
Yeah, he was into this before I even knew what recycling was. 00:38:10
That's all I have done. Thank you, Sir. Thank you. 00:38:20
All right. 00:38:26
Public input. 00:38:27
Nothing. 00:38:29
Any closing marks from anyone on the board? 00:38:30
Are we going to have an executive session? 00:38:36
No, yeah, OK. It wasn't advertised. 00:38:41
OK. It just says adjournment for executive session, so didn't know if that was what we're going to have or not. 00:38:45
Wrong. 00:38:53
OK, make a motion to adjourn. All right. Second motion by Brad and 2nd by John. All in favor. 00:38:56
Jason, do you have to sign? Yes, you got these for yours. These need to be signed by everyone. 00:39:10
It's not much. 00:39:18
I'm sure I get the front. 00:39:28
I. 00:39:34

I. 00:39:34
scroll up
